Boardman Hires Armstrong as District Treasurer
BOARDMAN, Ohio — The Boardman School Board has hired Terry Armstrong as the district’s treasurer effective Monday. He replaces Nicholas Ciarniello who resigned to accept a position with a suburban Cleveland school district.
Armstrong comes to Boardman from the Newton Falls school district where he served as treasurer. He has 14 years of education experience, serving as a teacher, a principal and as superintendent of the Lordstown schools. He also has experience in public finance as well as in the private sector.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Armstrong to the Spartan team. His previous experience, skills and talent will be a great asset to the Boardman schools,” said Board President Vickie Davis. “We look forward to a smooth transition as we plan for a school year unlike any other.”
Board members thanked Ciarniello for his hard work and dedication to the district.
“Nick helped to guide us through some difficult financial times in these last three years and he has done the job well and with passion,” said Jeff Barone. “We will continue to look for every efficiency as we focus on providing the best possible education for our students in the safest manner possible.”
