Boardman Nissan’s Land, Buildings Sold for $5.1M

BOARDMAN, Ohio – The land and buildings associated with #1 Cochran’s acquisition of Boardman Nissan have sold for $5.1 million, Mahoning County Auditor records show.

The acquisition – announced during a press conference Thursday – includes the Nissan dealership at 7809 Market St. and a plaza next door at 7807 Market St.

According to county auditor records, Cochran MVRE LLC purchased the showroom and 2.25 acres for $3,140,000 from WC Holding LLC. Cochran also acquired the 14,000-square-foot plaza and .82 acres for another $2.1 million from 70Chip Holdings LLC.

The real estate transaction is part of Pittsburgh-based #1 Cochran’s purchase of Boardman Nissan – its second acquisition in the Mahoning Valley and second in Ohio.

In January, #1 Cochran acquired Sweeney Chevrolet and Sweeney Buick GMC, two dealerships that were operated by the Sweeney family for more than 100 years.

That purchase included three properties along Market Street and Karago Avenue. Auditor’s records show the land and buildings were sold to Cochran MVRE LLC for $18.4 million.

Another local auto group, Taylor Kia, also sold its assets to a larger entity based in Cleveland. In November, Ken Ganley Automotive Group, based in Brecksville, announced it had acquired Taylor’s Boardman and Alliance Kia stores.

The Boardman showroom and land sold for $11.9 million in April, according to auditor’s records.
