Bodine Perry Acquires Four Accounting Firms
CANFIELD, Ohio – Bodine Perry completed four major acquisitions in 2021 that account for a projected 68% growth in 2022.
The Canfield-based accounting firm now employs more than 150 people across its eight offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Bodine Perry, which will mark its 20th anniversary this year, acquired Michael R. Rubenstein and Associates of Fort Myers, Fla., making it the fourth office in the Sunshine State.
The firm wrapped up the fourth quarter by announcing three new partnerships with well-established firms.
The largest of the three extends Bodine Perry’s footprint into Pittsburgh. The merger with Markovitz, Dugan and Associates is the largest in Bodine Perry’s history, adding 35 professionals and two partners. Most of the team is based in Pittsburgh, with a few who operate from a satellite office in DuBois, Pa.
The other acquisitions were in Columbus and Orange Park, Fla.
Meanwhile, the firm welcomed a new controller, Raechel Vega, to the Canfield office. It also found another career path for associate accountant Maria Moschella, who was named talent acquisition specialist.
In August, Inside Public Accounting ranked Bodine Perry as a Top 400 Firm, based on its annual survey and analysis of firms. In terms of net revenue, Bodine Perry came in at No. 327 on the list and was recognized as a 2021 IPA Fastest-Growing Firm.
Bodine Perry also made an investment in Trakstar, a talent management platform that streamlines the performance review process, allows for upward reviews and increases employee engagement.
“We feel strongly about advancing our team,” says Bruce Flyak, partner in charge. “We’re focused on attracting and retaining the best of the best in the Mahoning Valley.”
In January of this year, Bodine Perry announced a new Canfield-based partner, Debbie Liggett-Dixon.
