Boscov’s Opens Registrations for Friends Helping Friends Event

NILES, Ohio — Boscov’s is excited to officially open registration for its largest annual fundraising event, Friends Helping Friends.

This one-day in-store only event held Oct. 19 is Boscov’s biggest sale of the year, offering 25% off its lowest sale prices.

To participate in this event, customers receive a shopping pass after donating $5 to a partnering non-profit organization and the non-profit organization keeps 100% of the shopping-pass donation proceeds.

“Each year, over 3,000 non-profit organizations participate in this event and raise over $1 million in donations,” said Jim Boscov, chairman and CEO. “It’s our most aggressive promotion of the year and we do it to encourage donations to the organizations so critical to the communities we serve,” he added.
Boscov’s is the nation’s largest family owned department store chain and opened its Eastwood Mall location in October 2021.

Customers donate $5 to a participating non-profit and receive a shopping pass and discount of 25% off the store’s lowest sale prices. The passes are good in-store only on Oct. 19 between the business hours of 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Participants can also register to win a $100 Boscov’s gift card (one winner per store).
