Boys & Girls Club Holds Barbecue Fundraiser Friday
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown is hosting the first Backyard Barbecue Bash from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the club, 2105 Oak Hill Ave.
“This event will bring some fun to the club by getting our staff, parents, supporters, and community out on a Friday evening,” says Germaine McAlpine, executive director of the club.
The event, sponsored by 45Press, will be catered by The Royal Oaks, live music by Howard & the Point 5 Band and have backyard games sponsored by Burgan Real Estate.
For 47 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances. The club has actively sought to enrich the lives of girls and boys that other youth agencies have had difficulty reaching by creating greater access to quality programs and services that will shape their futures by enhancing their lives.
