Briarfield Assisted Livings Earn State Recognition
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Two Briarfield assisted living communities were named among the top 20 assisted livings in the state by the Ohio Department of Aging’s Family Satisfaction Survey.
The Inn at Ironwood at 6699 Ironwood Blvd. in Canfield placed 11th with an overall score of 94.5, and The Inn at Poland Way at 6501 Poland Way, Poland, ranked 19th with a score of 93. The state average score for all 470 participating assisted living communities was 82.6 out of 100.
“It wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated staff and the support of our families,” said Ed Reese, Briarfield CEO. “We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the needs of our Valley’s senior population at Briarfield.”
The anonymous survey asked family members, friends or guardians of each resident about their perception of the assisted living in the following categories: care and services, caregivers, environment, culture, meals and dining, moving in and spending time.
Both assisted living communities are 64-unit residences, while The Inn at Poland Way features another 25 units dedicated to residents with Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders.
Other Briarfield locations include Briarfield Manor and Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown, Inn at Walker Mill in Boardman, Inn at Christine Valley in Youngstown, and The Inn at Glenellen and The Villas at Glenellen in North Lima.
