Broadway Recovery Receives $123K in Funding to Support Services
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Broadway Recovery Services has received $123,123 in grant funding from the OneOhio Recovery Foundation to support its efforts in fighting addiction by delivering recovery support services through recovery housing and transportation services.
“We are incredibly grateful for this grant, which enables us to provide essential resources that are vital in empowering individuals on their recovery journey,” said Adam Lonardo, founder and executive director of Broadway Recovery. “By expanding access to recovery housing and transportation assistance, we can help remove significant barriers and create a pathway toward stability and healing. This support will make a lasting impact on the lives of so many in our community, offering hope and opportunity to those who need it most.”
The grant is part of an inaugural round of approximately $51 million in funding made available by the foundation as part of its mission to combat the opioid epidemic by supporting prevention, treatment and recovery programs and services in communities. The grant money was funded by 55 percent of settlement funds that Ohio is receiving from the pharmaceutical industry as a consequence of its role in the national opioid epidemic.
“We’re pleased to partner with Broadway Recovery Services to support their efforts to save lives, rebuild families affected by addiction, and foster strong and resilient places to live,” said Alisha Nelson, executive director of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation.
