Broken Water Pipe Causes Damage at Jazz Club
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Frieda’s, the longtime jazz club at the corner of Belmont and Rayen avenues, is temporarily closed because of water damage caused by a ruptured pipe on the second floor.
Owner Howard Howell made the announcement on Facebook on Wednesday. He stressed that the business will reopen after it is cleaned and repaired but could not predict how long that will take.
Howell and his band frequently perform at the club. While it is closed, Howell said he might perform at other locations.
