BRT Extrusions Plant in Niles Sold for $3.6M

NILES, Ohio – An aluminum extrusion factory at 1818 N. Main St. has been sold to a new owner for $3.6 million, according to records from the Trumbull County Auditor’s office.

BRT Property Holdings LLC purchased the building from BR Properties Group LLC on Dec. 1, data show. The building serves as the operations for BRT Extrusions Inc., an aluminum extruder that in 2021 was acquired by Corbel Capital Partners and Gallamar Group.

BRT Properties is listed with the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office as a foreign limited liability company – meaning the company was organized outside of Ohio – and registered in Delaware. According to records, BRT Properties was formed on Nov. 30.

Auditor’s records show that Gearmar Properties Inc. purchased the building in 2003 from Niles Properties Inc. for $275,000. Gearmar sold the facility to BR Properties Group for $600,000 in 2008.

The 27.9 acres and building are valued at $745,000 for tax purposes.

BRT, founded in 2005, today operates five extrusion presses at the plant. Over the years, the company has added painting, anodizing, thermal fill and fabrication services, according to its website.

The company supplies extruded aluminum products to the building and construction, electrical, transportation and many other industries.

In January 2001, Corbel announced that its investment partnership with Gallamar would “enable the company to further expand capacity and the services it provides to the marketplace.”
