Burgan Real Estate Sets Company Record for Monthly Sales
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Burgan Real Estate set a company record in June with 80 houses sold, co-owners Patrick Burgan and Sue Filipovich announced Tuesday.
“We have such a great culture and mentality. You hear so much about inventory being tight and I think it’s easy to get caught up in that,” Burgan said. “Rather than getting caught up, we’re constantly looking at solutions and ways to find sellers and hook them up with buyers.”
Added Filipovich in a release, “Patrick and I believe in the model that we have created and the culture we have built here. … We may be half way done with 2018, but we are just getting started with what the future holds for our company.”
June’s sales beat out the previous best month in the company’s 40-year history, August 2016, by 10%. For the year, Burgan Real Estate’s sales are up 17% in total volume over 2017 and the company has had six consecutive quarters of increased sales since Filipovich and Burgan took control.
The increase in sales has allowed Burgan Real Estate to add five agents. It also signals, Burgan said, a shift in the state of the Mahoning Valley.
“The average sale price is way above where it was even 12 months ago,” he said. “I really think Youngstown and the whole Valley is back on the map with Youngstown State University, with downtown, with all the revitalization, with the commercial areas in Boardman and Canfield.”
While having the record is a good marker, there will be more to come, Burgan said.
“We’re excited and we’re just getting started. I’m competitive and a lot of people at the office are competitive people,” he said. “While this was our best month in company history, I think we’re just going to keep setting records.”
