BWC Extends Deadline for $28M Air Quality Grant Program
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has extended the deadline for nursing homes, assisted living centers and adult day centers to apply for funds from the COVID-19 Indoor Air Quality Assistance Program.
Businesses now have until March 31 to apply for up to $15,000 in reimbursement. In total, the state has $28 million in funding for the program, made available through the Cares Act.
“We appreciate the federal government’s extension of these life-saving dollars,” said the agency’s interim CEO John Logue in a statement. “Adding three months to this program enables us to reach even more facilities serving vulnerable older Ohioans, and we’re pleased to do our part.”
Funding can pay for portable air filters, new filtration systems, maintenance on existing systems and “other interventions” made between March 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021.
