BWC, TCTC to Host Safety Fair Oct. 14
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s Youngstown Service Office and the Trumbull Career & Technical Center will hold the 2016 Safety Expo Oct. 14.
This year’s expo, which will take place at TCTC, will offer 40 educational sessions covering topics such as how to decrease accident frequency and severity, return-to-work strategies, A.L.I.C.E. active shooter response training, and drugs in the workplace. Educational sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Various educational credits are available from attending the event, including one external credit in BWC’s Safety Council Rebate Program.
Registration will be from 7 to 8 a.m. A continental breakfast will be available and participants can visit exhibitors during registration.
Admission is $30, which includes a continental breakfast and a box lunch. Spaces for exhibitors is $150, which includes an exhibit table, a continental breakfast and a box lunch for two people. Spaces are limited. Educational sessions have a limited amount of seats, so register and pre-pay by Oct. 7. On-site registration is welcome for an additional $10 but space in all sessions cannot be guaranteed.
