California Investor Purchases Medical Office Building for $2.3M
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The building that houses Mercy Health — Youngstown Neurology on the city’s North Side has sold to a California investor for $2.3 million, according to records from the Mahoning County Auditor.
Records show that the building at 1340 Belmont Avenue sold on July 12 to Wayo Boss LLC, based in Cupertino, Calif.
Articles of organization filed with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office show Amy Wang as the authorized representative of Wayo.
The transaction includes the office building and an adjoining vacant lot along Fairmont Avenue, records show. In addition to Mercy Health, the building also lists The Kidney Group Inc. and Fresenius Medical Care as tenants.
The land and building are appraised at $1.275 million for tax purposes, auditor’s records show.
According to data from the Mahoning County auditor, the building was built in 1950 and underwent extensive remodeling in 1997 – then owned by Chester A. Amedia Jr. The property transferred to 1340 Associates LLC in May of 2016, which sold the building to Wayo.
