Canfield Fair Reports Slight Dip in Attendance
CANFIELD, Ohio – The total attendance for all six days of this year’s Canfield Fair was 273,709, down slightly from last year’s total of 275,080.
The festival, which took place Wednesday through Monday, started with a few days of hot and humid weather, which likely kept numbers down, according to Timm Schreiber, the fair board member in charge of admissions.
“Considering the extreme temperatures we had at the start of the fair, we had an incredibly strong finish, which speaks to the commitment of the Mahoning Valley to the fair and the traditions that go along with it,” Schreiber said.
The Canfield Fair, which is in its 178th year, is the largest county fair in the state.
