Career Counselors are a Resource for Students
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Michael Palm is in his first year of being a career counselor with the ESC of Eastern Ohio, previously working in the skilled trades as a certified welder.
As a career counselor, Palm helps students, like those at Austintown Fitch High School, with anything academic or career related that will help them graduate and plan for the future. He says he became a career counselor because of the huge gap he saw in the skilled trades industry.
“I’m kind of helping bridge that gap by getting students involved, helping them find what they want to do with their lives and something that they are passionate about,” Palm says.
