Casacchia Joins Mercy Hospice, Palliative Medicine Programs

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Mercy Health-Youngstown this week welcomed Dr. Anthony Casacchia, a board-certified geriatrician who will be serving patients at all three Mercy Health hospitals.

Casacchia focuses on the specialized care of older adults through his practice of geriatric medicine. Additionally, he is trained in caring for long-term management of serious illness or palliative medicine as well as caring for individuals needing hospice care.

Casacchia attended the Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed his residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He also completed fellowships in geriatric, hospice and palliative medicine at Summa Health in Akron.
