Central One Optical Employee Receives Award

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Tyler Morton, director of operations at Central One Optical, has received the “Distinguished Employee Award” from Essilor Laboratories.

Morton graduated from Youngstown State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree communications and marketing. He began his career in the optical industry in 2009.

Essilor Laboratories is an international company employing 80,000 people worldwide in various divisions including Varilux, Transitions, and Crizal, according to a news release announcing the award. Its products are available in more than 130 countries, and are worn by one billion people daily.

Essilor Laboratories of America Inc. owns the largest and most comprehensive optical laboratory network in the United States.

The award is given to the individual who best exemplifies Essilor core values and initiatives. In order to achieve this award, Tyler excelled in the improving sales, efficiencies and customer service.
