Cerni Hosts Antique Truck Show Aug. 15
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A donation of nonperishable food items is the price of admission to the fourth annual Antique Truck Show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 15 to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.
The show, hosted by Cerni Motors and The Penn-Ohio Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America, will be held at Cerni Motors.
It includes antique trucks, a pig roast, corn hole, international truck display and games to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. “Each week the food bank is filling more than 15,000 requests for emergency food assistance in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties,” said Michael Iberis, executive director.
Second Harvest’s mission is to solicit, store and distribute food to hunger-relief organizations feeding people in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. As a member of Feeding America, the organization distributes food to 153 hunger relief organizations such as church pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens, shelters for battered women and after-school programs.
