Chamber Fundraising Event to Honor Humphries

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber will host a farewell celebration and fundraiser honoring its outgoing president and CEO, Tom Humphries, who will retire at year’s end after 20 years.

The Nov. 18 event, to be held at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman and emceed by Youngstown State University President Jim Tressel, also will mark the official launch of the new Thomas M. Humphries Fund for Economic Development programming. Money raised from the event will go toward the new fund.

The black-tie optional dinner will include a multimedia presentation, roasts and toasts by community leaders and friends. These include Tressel; Tom Fleming, chairman and CEO of Aim NationaLease; attorney Marty Bushey of Manchester, Newman & Bennett; Bill Seiderwicz, president of Clean Energy Future LLC; Pete Asimakopoulos, executive vice president, First National Bank; Ted Schmidt, regional president, PNC Financial Services Group and chairman of the Regional Chamber’s board of directors; and chamber staff.

The evening also will feature entertainment by Frank Sinatra impersonator Bo Wagner and the Bo Wagner Orchestra.

Copies of the chamber’s year-end issue of Valley Business magazine, a commemorative edition dedicated to Humphries, will be at each seat.

Single tickets for the event are $125 and tables of eight are available for $1,000. Reservations are due by Nov. 10 (no walk-ins) and can be made here.
