Chamber Names Gierlach Chief Financial Officer

Kathy Gierlach has been appointed chief financial officer for the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. She is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the chamber’s fiscal functions; and providing analysis of budgets and financial reports and trends. She will also oversee human resources. “Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge to the chamber and has worked in the private, public and nonprofit sectors,” says James Dignan, president and CEO. Before joining the chamber, Gierlach was fiscal officer for the Lawrence County Drug & Alcohol Commission in New Castle, Pa. She also has worked as an accountant for a CPA firm. A resident of New Castle, Gierlach earned her B.S. in business management and economics from SUNY Empire State College in New York and her MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Pittsburgh.
