CANFIELD, Ohio — Since 1948, Komara Jewelers has served customers in the Mahoning Valley and worked to give back to the community that has supported it for all those years, says co-owner Brianna Komara Pridon.

“This community supports us and there’s so much good we feel that can be done,” Komara Pridon says. “So anything that we can do, we try to do.”

Rob Komara, co-owner and Brianna’s brother, stays actively involved in the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, both as a volunteer and member of its marketing committee. As a father and uncle, Komara hows how difficult it can be being a parent. So he works with the United Way to give underserved families a leg up.

“Any way I can help those kids that are less fortunate, any way I can help I will do for these kids,” he says, including being a mentor in schools.
