Change Makers | Packer Thomas

When Cindy Wollet started her career, one of her first tasks was working with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

She saw first-hand the impact that its leadership had on the community, including its former president, Don Cagigas, who retired in 2008. As principal and director of audit and accounting with Packer Thomas, Wollet says the 96-year-old company’s mission is similar to the United Way, in that it relies on relationships to provide its services while striving “to set an example and take ownership and leadership of serving that role within the community.”

In her interview with Roxann Sebest, Wollet says volunteering with the United Way and other nonprofits is “a natural part of the organization” as Packer Thomas employees work to be active in the community and help its residents.
