Cheers to Beers and Careers Event Scheduled for May 1

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – City Machine Technologies Inc. is partnering with Penguin City Brewing Co. to host a Cheers to Beers and Careers event to celebrate National Skilled Trades Day.

The family-friendly event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. May 1 at the downtown brewery, 460 E. Federal St.

Adults can enjoy a Penguin City brew and receive $1 off a beer if wearing a skilled trades work uniform. Boilermaker drinks will be on special as well. Children attending the event can dress up like skilled trades workers and trick-or-treat in the brewery. There will be a costume contest and fun drink specials for children. And M-7 Technologies will sponsor a kids dance party.

City Machine Technologies established National Skilled Trades Day in 2019 to help celebrate skilled trades workers and inform the community about the benefits of skilled trades jobs and encourage those who are considering entering trade schools or trade careers. National Skilled Trades Day is observed annually on the first Wednesday in May.

In addition to the May 1 event, City Machine Technologies has created a free Career Soup activity page for children to download anytime to learn more about careers with different letters. The activity page is available to be downloaded and printed HERE, along with other skilled trade resources.
