Chemical Bank Promotes Schrock to Regional President
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Chemical Bank has promoted Michael Schrock to Regional President of the Mahoning Valley.
“Through the years, Michael has distinguished himself as an outstanding leader with exceptional relationships both internally and externally. He has a proven track record of being very collaborative and team oriented, both of which will assist him as he supports the Mahoning Valley Leadership Team and our business line leaders,” said Dan Terpsma, director of commercial banking and regional presidents, in a release. “I look forward to his leadership as Chemical Bank continues its growth in the Mahoning Valley.”
As president, his responsibilities will include “aligning the efforts of a cross-functional leadership team to drive growth and ensure consistent service delivery throughout the region.” He will also serve on Chemical Bank’s local advisory board, working with community and civic leaders.
Schrock, a lifelong Valley resident, has worked in the banking industry for more than 28 years, including positions as a branch manager and mortgage loan officer. Most recently, he worked with Chemical’s human resources team.
He also served in the Ohio Army National Guard and was active during Operation Desert Storm. He holds a baccalaureate in business administration from Youngstown State University.
Chemical Bank is the largest bank headquartered in Michigan, with 236 offices, including 29 in Ohio. As of Sept. 30, the bank had assets of $19.35 billion.
