Choffin Celebrates 50 Years of Technical Education

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Choffin Career & Technical Center invited community members and former students to celebrate 50 years in career and technical education Tuesday.

Fifteen education programs are housed within five specialized academies: Academy of the Arts, Academy of the Skilled Trades, YOUMed Academy, Public Safety Academy and the Academy of Business & Entrepreneurship.

“I think we’re on a trajectory up, which means that I think we’re going to be able to create the talent to be able to really build Youngstown from the core, and that’s what’s needed,” says Michael Saville, director of Choffin Career & Technical Center.
