City of Farrell Starts Final Phase of Affordable Housing Program
FARRELL, PA — A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday at 420 Fruit Ave. as the city began the final phase of its homeownership program.
The project will be completed by Farrell native Donna Pyles, who owns DC Construction & Services LLC, based in North Carolina.
“It gives a lot of the people in the community an advantage of getting homeownership, which many of these low income people may not have that opportunity,” says Mayor Kimberly Doss. “Also it gives us more tax dollars back into the city. We tore down so many houses and we have all of these lots, so this will build up our tax base.”
