Clean Fuels Ohio to Help Market Lordstown Motors’ Trucks

LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Lordstown Motors Corp. announced Wednesday it has a letter of intent from Clean Fuels Ohio to promote the deployment of 500 of the startup automaker’s Endurance electric trucks.

Clean Fuels Ohio, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the use of advanced fuel technologies in Ohio, will partner with Lordstown Motors to help to educate fleet operators across Ohio and encourage purchases of the trucks, according to a statement from Lordstown Motors.

The news follows last month’s announcement that FirstEnergy Corp. had signed a letter of intent to purchase 250 Endurances from Lordstown Motors.

“We applaud Clean Fuels Ohio’s dedication to implementing advanced fuel solutions and vehicle technologies, and appreciate their support in helping us educate Ohioans about the Lordstown Endurance,” said Steve Burns, Lordstown Motors CEO. “Their history of collaboration with the transportation industry to promote the use of advanced fuels and vehicle technologies has broken down decades-old barriers and helped create a level playing field.”

Lordstown Motors is working with Clean Fuels Ohio’s executive director, Sam Spofforth, special project manager Tyler Fehrman and other staff to promote the use of electric trucks for fleets in Ohio and across the United States.
