Climate Change and the Cost to the Local Economy
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– In this week’s Tuesday Sit Down we talk with AJ Sumell, professor of environmental economics at Youngstown State University about the economic effects of climate change.
Sumell says studies show that, should emissions go unchecked, global GDP could fall by 4% per year.
“There are costs associated with reducing greenhouse gas emissions. But they are a fraction of the costs of not doing it,” Sumell says.
