ColorBurst 5K Fun Run July 23 at Eastwood Field

NILES, Ohio — The ColorBurst 5K Paint Run will take place at 9 a.m. July 23, rain or shine, within the grounds of Eastwood Field.

The family-friendly 5K run will be held the same day as the Scrappers’ home game against the Lowell Spinners. A portion of race ticket sale proceeds will go to the Scrappers’ charitable partner, Akron Children’s Hospital-Mahoning Valley.

The run is produced by ColorBurst 5K, in conjunction with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and main sponsor Fizek.

The run will features music and gallons of colored paint. At each interval along the course, crew members blast each participant with nontoxic, hypoallergenic, washable water-based paint from the sidelines. Guests will be treated to an interactive pre-party and post-party at the stage together with DJs, emcees and giveaways.

Tickets are available at the website below, and a limited number of early bird tickets at $32.50 are available. Tickets range from $32.50 to $50. The early bird tickets include a CB5K T-shirt and headband and a personal-size bottle of color.
