Columbiana County Reports Second COVID-19 Death

LISBON, Ohio – The second death of a Columbiana County resident has been reported Monday morning by the county health district.

According to department spokeswoman Laura Fauss the second victim was an elderly female who suffered from underlying health conditions.

“She had been hospitalized but was unfortunately unable to recover,” Fauss said.

As of 9:30 a.m. Monday, Columbiana County Health District was reporting 13 positive COVID-19 cases, including the two deaths.

Fauss reported the age range of these cases is between 23 and 92 years old, with the median age 61 years old. Diagnosed cases are 64% male and 36% female.

In the state’s daily coronavirus case update, most recently posted at 2 p.m. Monday, there were 39 deaths across Ohio, including four in Mahoning County and two in Trumbull County.
