Columbiana County Residents Get Their Voices Heard on Solar Project
LISBON, Ohio – Columbiana County commissioners heard testimony from county residents on the requests to ban large solar power projects in unincorporated areas of Fairfield, Franklin, Perry and West townships.
“This eventually goes to the Ohio Power Siting Board,” says Columbiana County Commissioner Mike Halleck. “I don’t know that there’s going to be an actual decision until you go to the Power Siting Board. There may be. I’m going to leave that to the chairman in this particular case, and then we’ll see what transpires from there.”
