Columbiana County Virus Cases Rise to 11

LISBON, Ohio – As of 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Columbiana County had 11 positive COVID-19 cases, according to the county health department.

This number is up from nine cases reported on Saturday, and the ages of those afflicted range from 23 to 92 years old.

While other information regarding patients has not been released, health department spokesman Laura Fauss, R.S., said Sunday, “We are analyzing our data and hope to have additional demographic information to release tomorrow.”

At this time, there has been one death reported in the county from the virus, that of a man in his 80s who had an underlying medical condition and who was hospitalized after being tested a week prior to his death.

According to Fauss, Sunday’s increase of local cases may not be reflected in the total released by the Ohio Department of Health at 2 p.m. until its next update.
