Columbiana Hiring Event Matches Job Seekers with Employers

SALEM, Ohio — Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition, in partnership with the Columbiana County Port Authority and Sustainable Opportunity Development Center hosted a hiring event featuring employers in the manufacturing, healthcare, and technology industries.

Job seekers ranging from high school students to career switchers attended the event to learn about and apply for open positions.

“As we’re looking to attract new companies in our region, we need to have this robust workforce that is prepared and ready to go to work in conjunction working with our training partners and our development agencies to ensure that we have a great community to reside in,” says Julie Michael Smith, project manager for the MVMC.
