Community Effort Needed for Area Logistics
VIENNA, Ohio – The first Mahoning Valley Logistics Conference featured several panel discussions covering topics related to infrastructure projects in the area.
In addition to infrastructure projects, other topics covered included roads, opportunities with the Youngstown–Warren Regional Airport, the global supply chain and trucking public policy.
“You need a lot of community buy-in to get a lot of these projects done,” says David Wilaj, director of the Mahoning Valley Logistics Council with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. “Whether that’s from the businesses, the local communities or the organizations that are kind of putting together the proposals that are going after the funding for these infrastructure projects, you just need a community effort to make logistics in an area great.”
