Community Foundation Focuses on Health and Wellness
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley focuses on health and wellness in the area, according to president Shari Harrell.
Harrell discusses the healthy community partnership, funding parks and greenspaces, active transportation and access to healthy food.
“We’ve funded positions for a health food access coordinator both in Mahoning County and Trumbull County to work with local community stores to help build up healthy options in those stores,” Harrell says.
