Community Foundation of Western PA, Eastern OH Names Director
SHARON, Pa. – Following a three-month regional search ranging from Pittsburgh to Cleveland, the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern Ohio has named Kyle English as its new executive director.
English was selected by the foundation board’s search committee following a three-month regional search that ranged from Pittsburgh to Cleveland. He has a bachelor’s degree from Bishop’s University in Canada, where he majored in political studies and minored in business and economics. He worked for several years in the financial services industry.
“We had a large pool of qualified candidates that had to be analyzed, sorted and interviewed, which took a considerable amount of time and effort,” said Amy Atkinson, the foundation’s interim executive director.
The Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH includes the assets of six component regional foundations: Shenango Valley, Northern Mercer County, Lawrence County,Trumbull County ,Grove City , and Northern Trumbull County.
“Kyle brings to the table the professional skill sets needed to manage and grow the foundation for many years to come. He has the broad-based support of the affiliate leaders of the foundation,” affirmed James O’Brien, the foundation’s president.
“I have worked with the Community Foundation for a number of years and have always marveled at the positive impact that it has on our region. It is truly an honor to be chosen to lead it into the future,” English said.
