Community Invited to Participate in Armstrong’s Breaking Bread Day

NORTH LIMA, Ohio – Armstrong is celebrating the 13th annual Breaking Bread Day at its local stores Wednesday.

The Breaking Bread program was launched in 2010 to help fight food insecurity in communities where Armstrong provides service.

The community is invited to participate in this year’s Breaking Bread Day celebration. Customers are encouraged to drop off nonperishable food items or donations of cash at local Armstrong stores. All donations will be routed to area food programs. Donors will receive some special treats and gifts as a thank you for their donation (while supplies last). In 2022, Armstrong customers and employees donated $16,311 and 39,634 pounds of food, and volunteered for 234 hours as part of the program. The donations were given to more than 200 community organizations to help families that are experiencing food insecurity.
