Storage Company Buys Former Furniture Store for $2.1M

NILES, Ohio – The former Loves Furniture & Mattresses building on U.S. Route 422 will be converted into an upscale storage center, real estate agent Bill Kutlick said.

The 53,796-square-foot building, 836 Youngstown-Warren Road, sold for $2.1 million, according to Kutlick, an agent with Platz Realty Group.

Trumbull County records list the buyer as Storage Five Niles LLC.

“They’re going to turn it into storage. It’s going to be upscale, not anything low-end, and be climate controlled,” Kutlick said. “It’s a good repurpose of the building.”

The store was one of several Loves locations that closed in 2020. Before then, it was a Levin Furniture store and was operated by Goldsteins Furniture until the company was sold to Levin in 2018.
