Coronavirus Cases Update: March 26, 2020

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – As of 2 p.m. March 26, Ohio reported 867 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and Pennsylvania 1,687.

COVID-19, the disease spread by coronavirus, has spread to 60 counties in Ohio. Mahoning County reports 48 total cases with 27 hospitalizations and one death. Columbiana County reports five total cases with four hospitalizations and one death. In Trumbull County, 12 were reported by the Ohio Department of Health, with one death.

Likewise, Mercer County in Pennsylvania reports three total cases Thursday. There is one confirmed case in Lawrence County.

Of all 867 cases in Ohio, 223 have resulted in hospitalizations, 91 of which (11%) are in the intensive care unit. The department of health reports 15 deaths thus far. Of those who test positive for COVID-19, 145, or 17%, are health-care workers.

Ohio has completed 17,316 tests for the novel coronavirus.
