Cortland Banks Hires, Promotes 12 Employees
CORTLAND, Ohio – Cortland Banks has promoted, assigned additional responsibilities or hired 12 employees during the first half of the year, President and CEO James Gasior announced Monday.
They are Stanley Magielski, Mark Taylor, David Bell, Kevin Culp, Ryan Skelly, Nate Marshall, Amy Manolio, Greg Stallman, Karen Jindra, Jacky Treharne, Michael Lipke and Juliana Marsco.
Magielski, a vice president and senior commercial banking officer, has been named Mahoning Valley group leader and is based in the newest office of Cortland Banks in Canfield. The 13-year financial services veteran is responsible for supervising Cortland’s commercial lenders who serve Mahoning County and managing the commercial loan portfolio.
Taylor, a commercial banking officer, was hired as a vice president and reports to Magielski. Taylor, a banker 30 years, is based in the Cortland’s Boardman office in Victor Hills Plaza.
Bell, hired as a vice president and senior commercial banking officer, was named Greater Cleveland team leader. Like Magielski, he oversees the commercial lenders who serve that market and manages its loan portfolio.
Culp, a commercial loan officer, was hired to vice president. He is based in Cortland’s Beachwood office.
Skelly, who began his career at Cortland in 2012 as an intern, was promoted to assistant vice president and commercial banking portfolio manager. In serving the Youngstown and Cleveland markets of the bank, he oversees a portfolio of more than $100 million.
Marshall, hired as a vice president and private banking relationship manager, will serve its Akron and Cleveland markets. He has a 13-year career in financial services.
Manolio was hired as a vice president to fill the newly created position of private banking relationship manager. She has 27 years’ experience and will serve Cortland’s private banking clients in Mahoning County.
Both Stallman and Jindra were hired as vice presidents and retail mortgage banking officers. Stallman joins Cortland with 23 years of experience and is based in the bank‘s office in Fairlawn, as is Jindra, who has 18 years’ experience. Both will serve Portage, Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, Geauga and Lake counties.
Treharne, who joined Cortland five years ago, was promoted to vice president and mortgage loans operations manager. From the Canfield office, she oversees a staff of 12 mortgage bankers.
Lipke, who has spent 20 years in financial services, joined Cortland as vice president for special assets and loan review, both commercial and consumer.
Marsco joined the marketing department of Cortland Banks as a marketing coordinator. The graduate of Youngstown State University worked for a nonprofit organization before coming to the bank.
