Covelli Centre Named ‘Prime Site’ by Industry Magazine

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Facilities & Event Management magazine has named the Covelli Centre as one of its annual Prime Site Award winners.

The award is given to venues – including arenas, auditoriums, theaters, amphiteathers and fairgrounds – that “demonstrate the ability to please both incoming acts and patrons on multiple levels.”

Readers make nominations, with nominees judged on promotional support, staff proficiency, staging quality and backstage amenities.

“We continually strive for growth and benchmark successes, so to be recognized with some of the biggest venues in the country is incredible,” said Eric Ryan, president of JAC Management Group, in a release. “The community and city’s support and belief in our process has largely contributed to our progress.”

In addition to being the home arena for the Youngstown Phantoms, Covelli Centre has hosted shows by Bob Dylan, Carrie Underwood, Elton John, Lionel Richie, Cirque Du Soleil, Disney on Ice and the Harlem Globetrotters. Upcoming shows include Judas Priest, Migos and Toughest Monster Trucks.
