Covelli Restaurants Offer Meals for Active Military, Vets

WARREN, Ohio – Covelli Enterprises will give free meals today to military service members and veterans in honor of Veterans Day.

At Mahoning Valley Panera Bread cafes, veterans and military service members can receive a free You-Pick-Two by wearing his or her uniform or by showing military identification or discharge papers, according to a news release. O’Charley’s also will offer a free $9.99 entrée and free pie to veterans and military personnel.

“We continually work to show our customers and our community members that we appreciate them- especially to those who have made sacrifices for our country,” said Sam Covelli, owner and operator of Covelli Enterprises. “We hope this token of generosity will let these men and women know how thankful we are for their service.”

Covelli-owned Panera Bread cafes have offered free meals for veterans and service members since 2011. Since then, the company has given away more than 45,000 You-Pick-Twos to military personnel and veterans.

Through Nov. 27, participating Panera cafés will shine green lights in areas of each café as part of Green Light A Vet, a nationwide campaign to show support for military veterans.
