Crosby Confirmed as Chief Operating Officer of BWC

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The appointment of Shawn Crosby as the chief operating officer of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has been confirmed by the Ohio Senate. With over 30 years of experience at BWC, Crosby brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

As COO, Crosby oversees four operational divisions, leading a team of approximately 900 staff members across the state. Her responsibilities include ensuring compliance and consistency in injury management, policy management, performance consultative services, and customer service.

Annually, her team handles a staggering workload, managing thousands of claims, contact center calls, chat interactions, email responses, employer policies, and overseeing self-insured employers and subsidiary companies.
