Daffin’s Candies Sticks to What Works
SHARON, PA — In 1949, Paul “Pete” Daffin opened the first Daffin’s Candies store in downtown Sharon, Pa. In 1975, Daffin purchased an abandoned grocery store and remodeled it into a 14,000 square foot candy store.
Connie Leon, retail manager who joined Daffin’s in 1966, says over the years, the business has changed, but they still try and make everything using the original recipes Mr. Daffin started the company with.
“Mr. Daffin’s philosophy was that he always wanted everyone to feel like they were a kid in the candy store,“ says Leon. “We always try to have fun things in the store for people to see.”
