Dana Ensemble Brings Children’s Concert to Stambaugh
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– Youngstown State University’s Cliffe College of Creative Arts will present a children’s concert performed by the Dana School of Music’s Dana Ensemble and narrarated by YSU president Jim Tressel. It will include a performance of Prokofiev’s “Peter & the Wolf” and Saint-Saens’ “Carnival of the Animals.”
“Carnival of the Animals” introduces a zoo of creatures large and small, while “Peter & The Wolf” tells the tale of a young boy’s adventures with a bird, a cat, a duck and a wolf.
The children’s concert will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Stambaugh Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at StambaughAuditorium.com.
