Daughtry, Buckcherry and Hinder Will Perform at Canfield Fair

CANFIELD, Ohio – A trio of bands that were ubiquitous on rock radio not so long ago will team up for this year’s Canfield Fair.

Daughtry, with Buckcherry and Hinder, will play the grandstand Sept. 2, the fair’s final day.

Tickets are $75, $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, at ticketmaster.com.

The Daughtry concert is the second of two at the grandstand. Country star Brantley Gilbert will play the 8,000-seat venue Sunday, Sept. 1. That concert was announced in April.

Daughtry emerged with a bang in 2007, when his self-titled debut was the top-selling album of the year.

The band, led by Chris Daughtry, has produced multiple hits, starting with “It’s Not Over” (2006). Daughtry was propelled to fame after he was a finalist on the fifth season of “American Idol.”

The band’s most recent album, “Dearly Beloved,” was released in 2021 and includes the songs “World on Fire” and “Heavy Is the Crown.”

The band’s 2023 cover of “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” featuring Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, reached the top 10.

Like Daughtry and Hinder, Buckcherry is a veteran act that has played the Youngstown market multiple times and has always been popular here. The band played at the Y-Live concert in Youngstown last summer, opening for Kid Rock.

Buckcherry’s most recent album, “Hellbound,” was released in 2021.

Hinder was one of the hottest bands in the country following the 2005 release of its debut album “Extreme Behavior.” That album spawned several massive hits, including “Lips of an Angel” and “Get Stoned.”
