Dawn Inc. Looks to Build on Recognition Received in 2022

WARREN – Dawn Inc., “the best kept secret” in the construction industry, was thrust into the spotlight in 2022.

Dawn Ochman, the company’s president and CEO, was chosen as the winner of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s 2022 Athena Award. The award recognizes local business and female professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their careers, provided leadership in the community and mentored or contributed to the growth of other female professionals.

Marketing and advertising targeted to the government arena are limited compared with those in the commercial arena, Ochman says. But the award created a lot of interest in the company, which has 35 employees and is celebrating 30 years in business.

Ochman says the response to her winning the award has been humbling. And to keep the momentum going in 2023, Dawn Inc. will invest in more marketing and advertising.

“You will see us at even more community events. We are striving to get to know more people in our community, partner with new clients and add to our talented team,” Ochman says.

In 2022, the company formed a leadership team consisting of Ashley Swipas, administrative director; Brendan Solarz, vice president; and Chris Hoff, director of construction.
