Deadline Nears to Register for Logistics Conference
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Thursday is the final day to register for the first Mahoning Valley Logistics Conference, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
The event will feature a variety of panels and speakers who will touch on topics that relate to various logistics sectors.
The conference will feature the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, as well as county engineers, who will discuss current infrastructure projects and projects in the pipeline. They will also discuss funding sources at the state and federal levels.
The conference will also include a presentation from Western Reserve Port Authority leaders who will discuss their airport planning and development analysis.
A panel featuring Joe Joseph of Americas at Doncasters and attorney Dennis Unkovic of Meyer, Unkovic and Scott will focus on the geopolitical environment and how events around the world can affect supply chains in northeastern Ohio. Unkovic has written several books on global supply chain and international trade.
The event will also feature a public policy discussion by Thomas Balzer, executive director of the Ohio Trucking Association. He will talk about the OTA’s current advocacy initiatives affecting trucking companies in the Youngstown-Warren region.
