DeSalvo Construction Launches Giving Tuesday Campaign

HUBBARD, Ohio – DeSalvo Construction is partnering with Inspiring Minds of Warren and The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley for Giving Tuesday to support education, families and community development.

In the spirit of giving back and honoring company tradition, DeSalvo Construction will match 100% of all donations, up to $25,000 per organization.

“We feel deeply about giving back to our community,” said Joe DeSalvo, president of DeSalvo Construction. “Inspiring Minds excels in motivating students in Warren, spanning grades three to 12, to realize their fullest potential through a diverse range of supportive initiatives and exposure-driven opportunities. It’s a truly impressive organization.”

Deryck Toles, founder and CEO of Inspiring Minds, said the donations will help the organization provide tutoring, resources for students and college visits.

“Next year, we’re taking our kids to New Orleans, and we have a goal to take them back to Africa,” Toles said. “This contribution is going to be huge for our students.”

Bob Hannon, president of the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, expressed his excitement about the partnership, which, along with the community, will help the organization not only reach its goals but exceed them.

“We were thrilled when we learned DeSalvo Construction wanted to partner with us,” Hannon said. “This community has always been exceedingly generous, and this just proves it further.”

DeSalvo said the campaign gives everyone in the community a chance to pay it forward, share the joy of the season and see their donation of $5 or $5,000 go even further.

“It’s the care surrounding the gift that matters most,” DeSalvo said.

The campaign will run through Dec. 31.
