DeWine, Cabinet to Meet in Valley Wednesday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted will hold their first regional cabinet meeting and related events in the Mahoning Valley Wednesday.

The governor and lieutenant governor will participate in a roundtable with local health commissioners in the morning, followed by the cabinet meeting. Both events will take place at Mahoning County Career & Technical Center.

In the afternoon, DeWine will sign House Bill 12, which will create the Ohio Children’s Behavioral Health Prevention Network Stakeholder Group. The bill signing will take place at Akron Children’s Hospital Beeghly Campus.

Throughout the afternoon, state agencies will host various events throughout the Mahoning Valley.

Those events will include a tourism marketing meeting at the Grand Resort in Howland, unveiling of two new range complexes at Camp James A. Garfield in Portage County, an update on the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development, or Build, grant at Eastgate Regional Council of Governments in Youngstown, and a tour of Howland Machine Corp. in Niles.
